Salary: $124,800 - $187,200

What you will do

• Own significant rendering subsystems including anatomy rendering, signal/activation overlays, and catheter visualization.
• Optimize the OpenGL/VTK rendering pipeline to ensure real-time performance under realistic clinical workloads.
• Diagnose and resolve critical rendering issues such as shader bugs, GPU memory leaks, and frame-rate instability.
• Collaborate with UI/UX, algorithms, and hardware engineers to refine the visual experience for clinicians.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to newer engineers on 3D math and shaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience, Master's with 2+ years, or a PhD.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization required (Sponsorship is not available for this level).
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Newton, MA for a minimum of 4 days per week.
• Strong production experience with OpenGL, WebGL, Vulkan, or DirectX.
• Expertise in C++ and Python with a track record of delivering production software.
• Experience integrating real-time 3D rendering with Qt/QML application UIs.

Nice to have

• Experience with VTK or comparable 3D toolkits.
• Proficiency with Linux, Docker, and CI/CD automated testing.
• Experience working within regulated or quality-driven environments.
• Expertise in utilizing AI development tools to improve team standards.
