What you will do

• Lead, recruit, and mentor a software engineering team to deliver a high-impact product line.
• Collaborate with Product and Hardware Managers to define roadmaps, conceptualize offerings, and select architecture.
• Drive project execution, product quality, reliability, and overall user experience.
• Oversee embedded software development on x86 platforms, including UEFI, bootloaders, drivers, and custom Linux distributions via Yocto.
• Integrate and optimize high-performance AI inference and computer vision features in collaboration with the CV team.
• Work cross-functionally with other product teams to extend the power of the hirify.global platform.

Requirements

• Deep experience with modern Linux system architecture and software.
• 2+ years of experience in a management or startup leadership role.
• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proven experience as a technical lead for a team of 5 or more engineers.
• Track record of hiring and retaining excellent engineers.
• Willingness and ability to work onsite five days per week in San Mateo, CA.
