What you will do

• Define the 1–2 year strategic roadmap for R&D operations, including capex priorities and headcount.
• Scale the data factory to generate and track 100k+ vial samples per year for AI model training.
• Lead the automation architecture for liquid handling and robotics to eliminate manual processes.
• Develop the applications portfolio for fragrance delivery across categories like personal care, laundry, and candles.
• Bridge the gap between lab discoveries and industrial manufacturing protocols to ensure seamless transition to production.
• Recruit and lead a team of Lab Managers, Applications specialists, and Technicians.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in lab operations, advanced manufacturing, fragrance/flavor, or biotech scaling.
• Proven track record of scaling a laboratory from a v1 setup to a v10 industrial engine.
• Deep expertise in liquid handling, robotics, and the software that drives them.
• Ability to collaborate with ML PhDs and Hardware Engineers, with basic proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Direct experience delivering products across multiple application bases (e.g., fine fragrance, personal care).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
