Salary: $197,000 - $274,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead and grow the Verifications engineering team, setting technical direction and driving performance and career development.
• Own the reliability and quality of a broad portfolio of fulfillment integrations, partnering with vendors to reduce friction and turnaround times.
• Partner with Product to define and execute the roadmap for employment, education, drug, and health compliance products.
• Drive technical strategy for scaling integration-heavy systems to reduce manual exceptions and improve automation.
• Lead the team's adoption of AI-assisted development and agentic coding tools while maintaining quality standards.
• Represent the Verifications domain in cross-functional planning regarding capacity, tradeoffs, and roadmap sequencing.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as an engineering manager with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong command of service architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience managing complex third-party integration environments and owning reliability across external systems.
• Proven ability to improve operational metrics, such as reducing incident frequency and improving detection time.
• Experience working on regulated products where data accuracy and legal compliance are non-negotiable.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to the US (San Francisco or Denver).
