TL;DR

Modern Workplace Tech Bar Support (IT Support): Providing on-site technical assistance and hardware support for employees within a large-scale banking environment with an accent on Windows 11, Office 365, and mobile device management. Focus on diagnosing complex hardware/software issues, mentoring junior staff, and improving the overall colleague tech experience.

Location: On-site in Chester, UK (Cawley House); 5 days a week on-site

What you will do

  • Provide face-to-face IT support at the Tech Bar community hub for approximately 100k colleagues.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical challenges related to devices, software, and remote connectivity.
  • Configure, build, and fix desktops, laptops, and mobile technologies (BYOD).
  • Manage and resolve technical incidents using enterprise-scale support tools.
  • Technically mentor junior team members to deliver elite IT support.
  • Identify and call out areas to improve the customer journey and technical support experience.

Requirements

  • Must be based in or be able to commute to Chester, UK.
  • 2-3 years of Microsoft Windows technical support experience in an enterprise-scale environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 11 OS and in-depth troubleshooting of the Office 365 Suite.
  • Experience handling incidents and solving network issues.
  • Competence in supporting Microsoft Teams and mobile technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in a Tech Bar or Walk-up Support service.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and Exchange administration.
  • Understanding of Azure and Intune.
  • Experience using ServiceNow for incident management.
  • Support experience with Macs and JAMF.
