Global Accounting Specialist

What you will do

• Handle day-to-day accounting for multiple international entities: journal entries, intercompany transactions, account reconciliations.
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes across global entities.
• Coordinate intercompany reconciliations and eliminations for consolidations under German GAAP.
• Support external audits and reviews with auditors and stakeholders.
• Maintain compliance with local statutory accounting, tax, payroll, VAT/GST reporting.
• Collaborate with local teams on global ERP implementations and accounting policies.

Requirements

• Fluent English mandatory.
• Experience with German GAAP and other European local GAAP required; US GAAP is a plus.
• Degree in Accounting, Administration, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years in accounting, preferably multinational, with focus on general ledger, reconciliations, financial analysis.
• Advanced Excel proficiency; experience with Datev, Lucanet, Power Pivot, basic SQL is a plus.
• Ability to work independently across geographies in a multicultural environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with financial systems like Datev and consolidation tools like Lucanet.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools like Power Pivot and basic SQL.
