What you will do

  • Process and validate payroll in accordance with schedules, specifically for Italy and France.
  • Manage employee enrollments, terminations, and pay period adjustments.
  • Review and validate payroll reports, journal entries, and payroll accruals.
  • Ensure compliance with employment standards legislation and prepare year-end tax forms.
  • Address employee payroll inquiries and prepare internal audit reports for senior management.
  • Coordinate with internal teams regarding benefits, leaves of absence, and disability paperwork.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Italian and international payroll.
  • Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Italian (verbal and written) is required.
  • Strong understanding of payroll methodology, taxes, and employment standards.
  • Advanced mathematical, accounting, and bookkeeping skills.
  • Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid model in Madrid, Spain.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in French, German, Spanish, or Portuguese.
  • Technical competence in Google Suite and AI-driven tools.
