Financial Accountant (Media)

TL;DR

Financial Accountant (Finance): Supporting financial reporting, compliance, and central reporting activities with an accent on technical accounting (IFRS) and audit management. Focus on analyzing balance sheets for risks and opportunities, managing month-end closes, and implementing Transfer Pricing procedures.

Location: Hybrid in London, United Kingdom (Office attendance required approximately 4 days a week)

What you will do

• Support a range of financial reporting, compliance, and central reporting activities.
• Act as the primary point of contact for technical accounting support based on IFRS.
• Manage and facilitate various audits, including group, statutory, WPP internal audits, and SOX.
• Conduct deep-dive balance sheet analyses to identify and track financial risks and opportunities.
• Support the month-end close process.
• Assist in the implementation of robust Transfer Pricing procedures.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with 1-2 years PQE.
• Significant and recent experience in audit practice to effectively challenge audit approaches.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Must be able to work from the London office around four days a week.
