What you will do

• Own end-to-end VAT compliance across all territories, ensuring accurate filings and strong controls.
• Act as senior VAT advisor to the CFO and leadership team on new market entries and omni-channel operations.
• Optimize VAT processes across warehousing, logistics, and distribution in partnership with supply chain and tech teams.
• Lead VAT integration into ERP and finance process improvement programs to reduce manual interventions.
• Manage relationships with external advisors and tax authorities, handling audits and disputes.
• Monitor global VAT developments (e-invoicing, EU reforms) and translate impacts for senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• Significant senior experience in international VAT/indirect tax, ideally in multinational retail or e-commerce.
• Deep knowledge of UK, EU, and international VAT regimes and marketplace rules.
• Proven track record of managing multi-jurisdictional compliance and tax audits.
• Ability to translate complex legislation into practical guidance for the CFO and Board level.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Professional qualification such as CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent.
