Location: Must be based in the Netherlands (working remotely from abroad is not possible)

Salary: €3,546 - €5,538 gross per month

What you will do

• Evaluate and publish research data and software, ensuring compliance with publication policies and open data best practices.
• Review submissions for long-term archiving, checking for ethical or legal issues.
• Guide authors on making data and software findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR).
• Optimize review and curation workflows using automation, knowledge graphs, and AI.
• Collaborate with member institutions and maintain high-quality curation standards.
• Contribute metadata expertise to tailor the repository for the NES domain, including AI/ML models.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of the scientific research process or relevant research experience.
• Experience in data curation or working with data across various disciplines.
• Knowledge of FAIR principles and experience working with metadata standards.
• Proficiency in handling various data types, formats, and large volume data transfers.
• Familiarity with automation technologies, knowledge graphs, and AI for curation.
• Excellent command of English; willingness to learn Dutch (fluency is a plus).
• Must be based in the Netherlands.

Nice to have

• Competency in a specific domain relevant to 4TU.ResearchData.
• Fluency in Dutch.
