What you will do

• Migrate PostgreSQL databases from on‑premises platforms to Google Cloud.
• Manage and support PostgreSQL running on VM‑based and managed cloud services.
• Perform database upgrades, patching, performance tuning, and optimization.
• Support the onboarding of applications to PostgreSQL platforms.
• Troubleshoot incidents and support change and release activities in line with ITSM processes.
• Collaborate with cloud engineering, security, and application teams to ensure architectural standards and compliance.

Requirements

• Strong hands‑on experience as a PostgreSQL DBA or Database Engineer.
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL internals, performance, and configuration.
• Experience with database migrations from on-prem to cloud platforms.
• Solid understanding of replication, backup, recovery, and High Availability (HA) concepts.
• Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments.
• Must be based in Poland to enable occasional office visits.

Nice to have

• Experience with PostgreSQL managed services and Google Cloud infrastructure.
• Automation and scripting experience.
• Familiarity with cloud security and compliance requirements.
