TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Golang/Fintech): Building and optimizing secure Golang microservices for the integration of Curve, Lloyds Wallet, and Pi3 with an accent on distributed systems and high-performance backend architecture. What you will do

• Develop elegant, performant, and secure Golang microservices for the launch of Lloyds Wallet and Pi3.
• Design and architect backend systems to support the seamless integration of Curve into LBG.
• Deliver clean, maintainable server-side code and contribute to continuous engineering improvement.
• Collaborate with product and engineering managers to refine shipping processes and remove technical roadblocks.
• Guide design discussions to balance flexibility, speed, scalability, and system performance.
• Champion new technologies and proactively manage technical debt to ensure long-term stability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with in-depth knowledge of Golang.
• Experience building microservices deployed in containers on Kubernetes.
• Proven track record of building large, concurrent, distributed applications.
• Proficiency with both RDBMS and NoSQL datastores.
• Ability to diagnose complex problems across the entire stack (HTTP, server, database, OS).
• Must be based in London to meet hybrid office attendance requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with PHP.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures.
• Experience mentoring or coaching other engineers.
• Experience with real-time, low-latency, high-frequency transaction systems.
