TL;DR

Senior Legal Counsel (Commercial Law & IP): Providing legal guidance on commercial transactions, IP strategy, and platform regulation for a global delivery platform with an accent on commercial, IT, and unfair competition law. Focus on managing trademark portfolios, advising on M&A transactions, and implementing scalable legal operations including AI tooling.

Location: Hybrid in Berlin, Germany (presence required 2 days a week)

What you will do

• Advise on complex commercial transactions, high-profile investigations, litigation, and arbitration proceedings worldwide.
• Provide product counseling and advice on platform regulation initiatives across various jurisdictions.
• Develop and execute the IP strategy to protect assets across food, grocery, logistics, fintech, and software development.
• Manage sizable trademark and domain portfolios and execute enforcement activities.
• Lead IP and IT aspects of M&A transactions, including due diligence and post-merger integration.
• Design and implement scalable legal operations and harmonize internal processes using AI and new technologies.

Requirements

• Fully qualified to practice law in Germany (Volljurist).
• 6+ years of post-qualification experience in a reputable law firm or international in-house environment.
• Proven track record of managing complex legal projects and senior stakeholders.
• Experience in end-to-end contract negotiations and M&A due diligence.
• Expertise in managing large trademark portfolios and building efficient legal workflows.
• High proficiency in preparing impactful Google Slides/PowerPoint presentations.
