Senior Legal Counsel - Central Europe & International Operations - Remote Germany

TL;DR

Senior Legal Counsel (Central Europe & International Operations): Provide primary legal support for CE&I region covering Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and rest of world (except APAC), managing disputes, drafting commercial agreements across mail, digital, and lockers business lines with an accent on multi-jurisdictional compliance and high-value software licenses. Focus on negotiating complex SaaS, reseller, and partnership agreements, delivering legal advice to sales/operations/HR, and supporting regional M&A projects.

Location: Germany - Remote but office in Munich. Occasional travel within Europe. Legal qualification preferably in Germany; fluent German (native preferred) and English required.

What you will do

• Manage disputes and litigation in the CE&I region.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including SaaS licenses, services, reseller/partnership deals, and NDAs.
• Provide day-to-day legal support to sales, operations, HR, finance, and other teams.
• Conduct legal monitoring, internal training, and implement regional policies for compliance.
• Support M&A projects and global initiatives with cross-regional legal collaboration.
• Prepare management reporting on deals, budgets, and litigation.

Requirements

• Legal qualification preferably in Germany; dual qualification a plus.
• 7–10 years as in-house counsel in international IT company or corporate law firm.
• Strong expertise in commercial contracts, negotiation, multi-jurisdictional matters, corporate governance, and IP law.
• Excellent drafting, analytical skills, and pragmatic business mindset.
• Fluent German (native preferred) and English; Italian/Spanish a plus.
