TL;DR
Accountant (Finance): Preparing, analyzing, and validating financial records for compliance with global standards with an accent on IFRS, US GAAP, and policies. Focus on managing auditor interactions, month-end validations, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting entity restructuring and process improvements.
Hybrid: split time between on-site at assigned site in Penang, Malaysia and off-site.

What you will do
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records compliant with internal policies and external regulations.
- Manage interactions with external auditors and authorities, providing data analysis for business decisions.
- Validate month-end accounts, resolve issues, and ensure integrity of reported results.
- Drive compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, SOX, and policies.
- Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and address reconciling items.
- Develop and revise finance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Support legal entity restructuring, eliminations, and new setups.
- Participate in process improvements and global/local projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Master's degree.
- Proficiency in IFRS, US GAAP, and accounting principles.
- Expertise in SAP S4, SQL querying, and Power BI.
- Knowledge of SOX compliance and cost accounting.
- At least 3 years relevant experience in global organization, accounting or audit.
- Certification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, MICPA or equivalent) highly desirable.
