Location: Hybrid (Vancouver, Canada) - 2-3 days onsite required

Salary: C$112,200 – C$143,600 per year

What you will do

• Set up and run advanced simulations for cloth, hair, rigid bodies, crowds, and muscles using Houdini and proprietary tools.
• Perform creature rigging and enveloping for hero and background assets in Maya.
• Troubleshoot CFX and pipeline issues to support artists across different disciplines.
• Develop scripts, utilities, and plug-ins in Maya to streamline workflows.
• Mentor entry-level artists and participate in reviews and dailies.
• Optimize the performance of simulation setups using advanced CFX techniques.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional VFX experience (or a relevant college degree in CG/Fine Arts).
• Expertise with Houdini and proficiency with Linux.
• Experience with Python or VEX scripting.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, enveloping, and corrective sculpting.
• Must be based in or able to work hybridly in Vancouver, Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience with advanced hero asset rigging and enveloping in Maya.
• Knowledge of C++.
• Basic proficiency in Modeling, Texture, TD, or Animation.
