What you will do

• Build high-quality hero creature rigging and skinning in Maya.
• Set up and execute cloth, hair, rigid body, crowd, and muscle simulations.
• Troubleshoot creature rigging and pipeline issues for artists across various departments.
• Mentor junior character artists to help them develop their technical skills.
• Script utilities, tools, and plug-ins in Maya using Python.
• Participate in reviews, dailies, and department meetings.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in digital animation, VFX, or games.
• Bachelor's degree in computer graphics, fine arts, design, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Maya, Houdini, and Linux.
• Strong experience with Python scripting.
• Deep knowledge of anatomy and enveloping.
• Must be based in or able to work from Vancouver, Canada for hybrid onsite requirements.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of C++.
• Basic proficiency in modeling, texturing, lighting, or animation.
