Content Writer (Fintech)

Location: Remote, based in Austin, Texas, United States

Compensation: $300 per article initially, increasing to $450 per article after training, and up to $600 per article for payment clients. Equivalent GBP rates are £250, £350, and £500 per article.

What you will do

• Write 3–4 articles per month for one client, typically 2,000–3,000 words each.
• Develop articles from subject-matter expert interview recordings and desk research.
• Learn clients’ products, services, audiences, and content strategies.
• Complete a detailed questionnaire and outline before drafting each article.
• Incorporate feedback through two rounds of edits and deliver content on schedule.

• Strong writing skills and the ability to present clear, logical arguments.
• Curiosity and willingness to research topics, products, and audiences in depth.
• Attention to detail and responsibility for the quality of delivered work.
• Ability to explain complex topics and connect content to broader product and customer acquisition goals.
• Openness to structured processes, questions, advice, and detailed feedback.
• Must not be in full-time employment.

Nice to have

• Experience writing about fintech or financial services, although this is not required.
• Interest in developing content strategy skills and progressing toward a strategist role.
