Vulnerability Management Professional (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Conduct scheduled and on-demand vulnerability scans across servers, networks, applications, cloud environments, and on-premises systems.
• Configure, maintain, and tune vulnerability management tools such as Qualys, Rapid7, and Defender VM.
• Analyze scan results, identify false positives, and prioritize vulnerabilities by severity, exploitability, and business impact.
• Coordinate with system owners, IT teams, and engineers on patching, configuration changes, and other remediation activities.
• Automate security workflows, data aggregation, and scanning processes.
• Research emerging threats, improve security controls, and prepare vulnerability, remediation, and compliance reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in vulnerability management.
• In-depth knowledge of common security vulnerabilities, attack vectors, mitigation techniques, network protocols, operating systems, and software development processes.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Qualys, Nessus, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Applicants must be eligible to access export-controlled technology and software under U.S. export control laws; an export license review may be required.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as OSCP, CISSP, or GIAC GWAPT.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
