TL;DR
Product Security Technical Manager (Cybersecurity/Application Security): Strengthening software product security through secure coding programs, CI/CD security tooling, cloud security, and incident response with an accent on application security, vulnerability remediation, and secure development practices. Focus on managing and mentoring security teams, embedding security checks into development pipelines, investigating incidents, and improving risk-based security processes.
Location: Remote within the continental United States; U.S. Person status is required, including U.S. citizenship, permanent residence, asylum, or refugee status.
Base pay: $128,000–$215,600 annually, depending on location, experience, qualifications, and market conditions.

What you will do
- Manage application security team members and coordinate with software engineering, cloud, compliance, and cybersecurity functions.
- Develop secure coding standards, training, code review practices, and risk-based remediation processes.
- Deploy and maintain application and cloud security scanning tools, including Wiz Code, and embed security checks into CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyze security findings, perform root-cause analysis, and provide practical remediation guidance.
- Support incident response investigations, evidence analysis, containment, root-cause analysis, threat modeling, and security assessments.
- Mentor engineers and security professionals while promoting practical, risk-based secure software development.
Requirements
- U.S. Person status is required; the position is limited to candidates working remotely within the continental United States.
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, application security, product security, security engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience managing secure coding and application security programs and maintaining security scanning tools in software development and CI/CD environments.
- Knowledge of static analysis, software composition analysis, secrets detection, container security, infrastructure-as-code scanning, cloud security assessment, incident response, and secure software design.
- Ability to write or modify scripts, use modern AI tools for investigation and remediation, communicate technical risks clearly, and mentor others.
