Senior Vulnerability Management Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid position required in Lafayette, Louisiana; Knoxville, Tennessee; Columbia, South Carolina; or Birmingham, Alabama

Salary: $80,000–$140,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage vulnerability governance activities and support compliance with security policies, controls, standards, and risk frameworks.
• Analyze vulnerability data and remediation metrics across infrastructure, applications, cloud, and AWS environments.
• Track remediation progress, vulnerability aging, SLA adherence, escalations, risk exceptions, and acceptance processes.
• Monitor control effectiveness and identify recurring vulnerabilities, systemic risks, remediation gaps, and data-quality issues.
• Prepare vulnerability metrics, trends, dashboards, leadership reporting, and presentations.
• Maintain vulnerability management standards, procedures, workflows, escalation paths, audit evidence, and governance documentation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, technology risk, vulnerability management, or a related field.
• Strong experience with vulnerability remediation governance in a large enterprise environment.
• Working knowledge of vulnerability management across AWS/cloud environments, infrastructure, applications, and related platforms.
• Experience with risk assessments, SLA compliance, remediation exceptions, escalations, and leadership reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data cleansing, reconciliation, and trend analysis; experience with PowerPoint reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
