TL;DR

Workforce Planning Lead (People Analytics): Leading the design and execution of workforce planning, forecasting, and tracking processes with an accent on quantitative modeling and strategic cross-functional partnership. Focus on building predictive attrition models, optimizing hiring velocity, and translating business strategy into actionable headcount plans.

Location: Hybrid (San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY). All staff are expected to be in the office at least 25% of the time.

Salary: $245,000 - $310,000 USD per year

What you will do

  • Lead company-wide headcount planning cycles and align workforce decisions with business strategy.
  • Develop quantitative models for headcount forecasting, attrition projection, and hiring scenario analysis.
  • Create self-service dashboards in Looker or Tableau to track plan versus actuals and pipeline health.
  • Partner with Finance, Recruiting, and HRBPs to model tradeoffs and identify supply/demand gaps.
  • Provide operational support during structural changes, including reorganizations and rapid scaling.
  • Strengthen infrastructure for position management and workforce data governance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in people analytics, workforce planning, or a similar quantitative role.
  • Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of Python or R for modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS and ATS data.
  • Ability to build executive-level dashboards and translate complex analysis into clear narratives.
  • Experience operating in high-growth, ambiguous environments.
  • Must be based in or able to work from San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY.

Nice to have

  • 7+ years of experience in people analytics and workforce planning.
  • Background in AI/ML organizations or high-growth technology companies.
  • Experience partnering with FP&A on financial planning and budget considerations.
  • Knowledge of capacity planning models and organizational design analytics.
  • Familiarity with compensation principles for scenario modeling.
