GCP Cloud/DevOps Engineer (GCP): Designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions within Google Cloud Platform with an accent on infrastructure automation, cloud security, and CI/CD pipeline development. Focus on driving cloud optimization and automation efforts in high-security government environments.

Location: In-Person (5 days/week) in Washington, DC. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret-level security clearance.

Salary: $160,000 - $180,000 USD

What you will do

• Design, implement, and manage secure and scalable cloud infrastructure using GCP.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar tools.
• Support CI/CD pipeline automation, integration, and management.
• Collaborate with software engineers, security personnel, and government stakeholders to support development and deployment workflows.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure cloud services meet SLAs.
• Implement cloud best practices and ensure compliance with federal security standards such as FedRAMP and NIST.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required for federal contract requirements.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain a Top Secret-level security clearance.
• 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 2 years on GCP.
• Hands-on experience with Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, VPC, IAM, GKE, and BigQuery.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Nice to have

• GCP Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
• Experience supporting federal government contracts and understanding of ATO processes.
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
