Project Control Analyst

TL;DR

Project Control Analyst: Plans, tracks, analyzes, and reports on assigned contracts with an accent on financial inputs coordination, earned value management, and project status evaluation. Focus on establishing cost baselines, developing Work Breakdown Structures, performing Estimates at Completion, and providing detailed financial analysis to leadership.

Location: San Diego, CA (4-5 days/week onsite)

Salary: $90,000-105,000 USD per year (San Diego, CA)

What you will do

• Plan, track, analyze, and report on assigned contracts.
• Coordinate financial inputs from project control team, control account managers, and program leadership.
• Support monthly financial and variance reporting to management and accounting.
• Consolidate budgets, expenditures, forecasts, and headcount for leadership reviews.
• Establish cost baselines, develop WBS, and perform Estimates at Completion.
• Implement earned value procedures and develop reporting for project status and deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field plus 1-3 years experience (or equivalent).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros), Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Active U.S. national security clearance required; must be U.S. citizen eligible for PCL.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to explain complex financial topics.
• Comfortable presenting to leadership and working extended hours when required.
• Customer-service focused with organizational skills for project-level problem-solving.

• MS Project experience.
• EVMS, Business Intelligence, SharePoint, or Unanet experience.
