TL;DR

Legal Counsel (Healthcare/Cyber/National Security): Provide business-minded legal support for an incubation firm building startups in healthcare, cyber, and national security with an accent on commercial contracting, financings, and regulatory compliance. Focus on drafting and negotiating agreements, conducting legal research on emerging regulations, and collaborating with business leaders to enable innovation and growth.

Location: Remote; USA. J.D. and currently licensed to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction required.

Salary: $180,000-$200,000 base

What you will do

• Support legal matters including contract review and negotiation, financings, and regulatory research.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements like vendor contracts, NDAs, and service agreements.
• Assist in corporate transactions such as financings, restructurings, and governance.
• Conduct research on laws impacting healthcare, cyber, and national security.
• Provide pragmatic legal advice to business leaders and teams to facilitate growth.
• Contribute to legal operations, compliance, and knowledge management projects.

Requirements

• J.D. and currently licensed to practice and in good standing in your U.S. jurisdiction
• 4+ years of in-house or corporate law firm experience
• Team-oriented, high-energy, proactive mindset
• Curiosity about venture, national security, cyber, and healthcare industries

Nice to have

• Experience with commercial contracts (vendor, SaaS, services)
• Supporting venture-backed or high-growth startups
• Familiarity with healthcare technology or regulations
• Using AI legal tech or productivity tools
