Data Portfolio Manager

TL;DR

Data Portfolio Manager (Data & AI): Oversee strategic portfolio of ~6 data teams across advanced analytics, machine learning, data engineering, and traditional analytics with an accent on agile governance, executive reporting, and stakeholder alignment. Focus on prioritizing business-value backlogs, coordinating cross-team delivery, and mitigating risks in a multi-vendor environment.

What you will do

• Build executive-level materials like decks and dashboards to communicate portfolio progress and value to leadership.
• Ensure ~6 data teams follow agile best practices in Azure DevOps with unified sprints and ceremonies.
• Guide product managers on backlog prioritization based on business value, reducing ad-hoc work.
• Bridge data teams and PepsiCo stakeholders for alignment on priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
• Support people leadership including hiring, interviews, development, and engagement.
• Coordinate across hirify.global and partner consultancies, promote governance, and manage risks/escalations.

Requirements

• Fluent English (C1+) for reading, writing, and speaking.
• Proven experience in data product or data management roles evolving to strategic/portfolio level.
• Strong portfolio management with big-picture view across multiple workstreams.
• Solid agile experience (Scrum, SAFe) including sprint/PI planning and backlog refinement.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Ability to create executive presentations and communicate data initiatives to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong people leadership and interpersonal skills in multi-vendor environments.

Nice to have

• Experience in large CPG/FMCG or complex enterprises.
• Familiarity with data architecture (ETL, dashboards, ML pipelines).
• Managing multi-vendor data engagements.
• Knowledge of AI/ML value measurement.
• OKR frameworks or value-based roadmaps.
