What you will do

• Solve operational orbital mechanics problems and process data for orbit states and predictions.
• Develop and deliver products to enable customer situational awareness and decision-making.
• Perform conjunction assessment, proximity operations, and general orbit analysis.
• Coordinate and integrate findings across multiple functional areas.
• Execute crew work, which may require hours outside of normal business operations.

Requirements

• US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance.
• 2+ years of experience in Space Situational Awareness, satellite catalog maintenance, and collision avoidance.
• Deep knowledge of orbital mechanics and astrodynamics.
• Understanding of space object tracking sensors, networks, and data limitations.
• Familiarity with Linux-based OS (Red Hat/Fedora) and Space Force’s Astrodynamics Support Workstation.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Nice to have

• Technical Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Space Operations, or Physics.
• Experience in orbital or space science data and non-regular data message management.
• Ability to create automation scripts using Perl or other scripting languages.
