Electrical Engineer (Satellite)

Base salary: $105,000–$165,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design circuits and PCBs for spacecraft subsystems.
• Characterize, test, and validate hardware systems across the spacecraft.
• Architect, design, and execute satellite avionics solutions within a multidisciplinary team.
• Own the full lifecycle of flight hardware designs.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring additional teammates.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
• At least 2 years of experience in PCB or hardware design.
• Hands-on experience personally designing, building, and testing hardware from scratch.
• Strong analog and mixed-signal circuit design skills.
• Experience debugging circuits with embedded software, from oscilloscope measurements through firmware.
• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status required.

Nice to have

• Experience with FPGAs, microcontrollers, and communication protocols such as RS-485, SPI, Ethernet, or I2C.
• Experience with C, C++, or Python.
• Knowledge of radiation effects.
• Environmental testing experience.
