Grants Program Supervisor (Non-profit): Overseeing the full range of pre- and post-award grant activities to secure and manage public and private funding for humanitarian programs with an accent on proposal development, compliance, and subaward management. Focus on leading the end-to-end grant lifecycle, ensuring funder requirements are met, and supervising administrative staff to optimize funding streams.

Location: Hybrid (Seattle, Spokane, WA or Missoula, MT)

Salary: $80,168.40 - $80,837.14

What you will do

  • Lead the development of concept notes, grant proposals, and budgets in coordination with program, finance, and HQ teams.
  • Assess funding opportunities, maintain the proposal calendar, and coordinate go/no-go decision processes with senior management.
  • Manage post-award activities, including contract negotiations, compliance monitoring, and the preparation of donor reports.
  • Supervise and mentor a Grants Administrator to ensure professional growth and balanced workload.
  • Implement and improve process management tools to track opportunity pipelines and award status.
  • Coordinate with the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Manager to ensure data supports required reporting.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in non-profit business development, grant writing, or grant management.
  • Demonstrated success in proposal development and securing awards.
  • Experience managing, coaching, and training staff.
  • Must be based in or able to work in Washington or Montana (USA).
  • Excellence in written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with web-based database platforms.

Nice to have

  • Formal grant writing certification or professional course.
  • Certification in project management or fundraising.
  • Familiarity with the non-profit environment in Washington or Montana.
  • Lived experience as a refugee or immigrant.
