Program Associate (Clean Energy)

Location: Remote, Illinois, United States; regular travel throughout Illinois required

Salary: $60,000–$65,000 annually, plus potential discretionary annual bonus

What you will do

• Serve as the primary contact for community-based organizations and program partners supporting utility energy efficiency programs.
• Coordinate outreach, partner engagement, community events, information tables, and program meetings.
• Collect, review, and maintain program data, invoices, reports, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation.
• Track activities, milestones, deliverables, deadlines, and partner compliance using databases and project tracking tools.
• Identify and escalate issues, recommend solutions, and resolve data, process, documentation, and scheduling conflicts with internal teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or at least two years of relevant experience in customer service, energy efficiency, or work with community-based organizations.
• Strong organization, prioritization, self-motivation, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, OneNote, Teams, and Salesforce or another CRM system.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout Illinois for community organization visits, events, meetings, and trainings.
• Interest in sustainability and commitment to making a meaningful environmental impact.
• Successful completion of a background check and reference check; a pre-employment drug screen may apply.
