Software Deployment & Integration Engineer (Defense): Own software and computer-system integration for radar platforms with an accent on system bring-up, configuration validation, and root-cause debugging. Location: Hawthorne, California, USA. Must work 4-5 days per week out of the Los Angeles (Hawthorne) office.

Salary: $145,000 - $220,000

What you will do

• Lead software and platform bring-up activities for radar systems, support equipment, and test racks.
• Validate end-to-end system configuration including BIOS, storage, Linux services, networking, and container environments.
• Troubleshoot and root-cause integration failures involving OS setup, network connectivity, routing, and deployment pipelines.
• Own configuration and validation of Linux timing and synchronization services such as chrony and linuxptp.
• Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, including VLANs, routing, and managed switch setup.
• Develop automated UI and end-to-end tests for on-device web interfaces using frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, etc.) or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in systems integration, DevOps, SRE, or lab infrastructure for complex hardware/software systems.
• Strong Linux system administration and troubleshooting experience (Ubuntu).
• Proficiency in scripting for automation and diagnostics using Python and Bash.
• Deep knowledge of networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, and firewalls.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to the USA.

Nice to have

• Experience with radar, RF, aerospace, or defense systems.
• Familiarity with Docker, Azure CLI, Ansible, and Jsonnet-based configuration workflows.
• Experience with precision time synchronization (PTP, NTP, GNSS).
• Experience using RF test equipment in lab environments.
