What you will do

• Lead end-to-end information reporting processes, including W-2s and 1099 filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee indirect tax compliance for sales/use, premium, and unclaimed property taxes across multiple jurisdictions.
• Drive process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency and scalability of tax functions.
• Manage the preparation and review of tax filings while maintaining SOX-related internal controls.
• Lead tax and information reporting audits, coordinating directly with regulatory authorities.
• Partner with finance, HR, and legal teams to ensure accurate data capture for reporting purposes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 6–10 years of professional experience in tax or finance.
• Strong knowledge of IRS and multi-state information reporting requirements and indirect tax regulations.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Springfield, IL.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Prior supervisory experience.
