What you will do

  • Manage US federal and state income tax compliance, planning, and corporate returns.
  • Execute quarterly and annual tax provision processes under ASC 740.
  • Lead global indirect tax compliance, including VAT, GST, and sales/use tax.
  • Identify and maximize R&D tax credits across federal and state programs.
  • Design and improve scalable tax workflows using automation and AI tools.
  • Act as the internal tax expert for Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of US and international tax experience, including Big 4 or multinational in-house experience.
  • Must be based in the United States.
  • Strong command of US GAAP income tax accounting (ASC 740).
  • Hands-on experience with sales tax/VAT compliance and tools like Avalara.
  • CPA, JD, LLM, or Master’s in taxation strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a remote-first, async environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience at a high-growth SaaS, cloud, or open-source company.
  • Public company or IPO readiness experience.
  • Experience working in globally distributed organizations.
