Design Engineer (React Native)

Location: United States (Remote)

Salary: $160,000–$200,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Build production-ready components directly in the codebase rather than creating specifications only.
• Translate Figma designs into precise React Native or React implementations across iOS, Android, and web.
• Define modern design-to-code workflows and help replace traditional specification-based handoff.
• Develop and maintain design tokens, component architecture, and design-system mappings.
• Collaborate across design and engineering to deliver high-quality product experiences.
• Use AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or v0 at production velocity.

Requirements

• Fluency in both Figma and code, with experience in React Native or React.
• Active production use of AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, v0, or similar.
• Strong understanding of design tokens, component architecture, and design systems.
• Experience shipping on cross-functional teams where design and engineering overlap.
• Strong communication across design and engineering disciplines.
• Ability to operate in fluid environments and help define team workflows.
