Senior Frontend Engineer (React Native)

Location: Remote within the United States; Atlanta is preferred. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $175,000–$185,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and build complex, performant, and accessible features and interaction flows in the React Native mobile application.
• Own technical delivery from product requirements and architecture through deployment, monitoring, and post-release improvements.
• Diagnose performance bottlenecks, optimize rendering and bundle size, and improve mobile responsiveness.
• Define mobile architecture, evaluate technical tradeoffs, and communicate technical recommendations.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and engineering teams while participating in on-call and root-cause analysis.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience, including significant production React Native development.
• Expert TypeScript skills and deep React Native expertise, including performance optimization, native modules, complex animations, and platform-specific development.
• Experience with Expo, monorepo tooling such as Yarn workspaces, and the full mobile development lifecycle.
• Experience with Jest, Maestro, mobile CI/CD, Expo/EAS workflows, OTA updates, app-store deployment, and mobile observability.
• Experience building applications backed by large-scale distributed systems serving millions of users.
• Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools for coding, planning, scoping, and code review.
• Experience integrating AI tooling into engineering workflows.
