Location: Dartmouth, NS, Canada. Must be eligible for Canadian/NATO Secret security clearance and a Canadian Controlled Goods assessment.

What you will do

• Provide technical direction and oversight to Software, Software Test, and Firmware teams.
• Define the technical roadmap and future of Sonar and Sonobuoy products.
• Maintain and refine software/firmware development processes and SDLC.
• Identify and select industry-best development tools and manage the development environment.
• Recruit and develop technical talent to solve complex engineering problems.
• Support the development of technical bids and estimates.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Software Team Lead.
• 10+ years of experience with C++ and/or Java.
• Proficiency with Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
• Must be capable of acquiring a Canadian/NATO Secret security clearance and a Canadian Controlled Goods assessment.

Nice to have

• Experience with customized software for government organizations.
• Knowledge of software configuration and build management.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and Jenkins.
