Salary: $149,000 – $174,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, implement, troubleshoot, and sustain hybrid on-premises and cloud environments for the Missile Defense Space Center.
• Manage full lifecycle of secure, air-gapped infrastructure from hardware (HPE Synergy, NetApp) through hypervisor (VMware VCF 9.0).
• Build scalable cloud architectures in AWS GovCloud and Azure for US Government workloads.
• Implement and maintain container platforms including Kubernetes v1.35, Docker, Podman, and repositories.
• Conduct daily monitoring, backups, upgrades, and cyber security mitigations per DoD policies and SLAs.
• Develop automation for self-service provisioning and collaborate across cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and application teams.

Requirements

• Must have active DoD Secret Security Clearance
• Must meet DoD 8570 certification (e.g., Sec+) within 60 days of hire
• 14+ years general work experience (reducible with advanced education), 7+ years IT, 3+ years cloud engineering, 1+ years management/leadership
• Experience with enterprise hardware (HPE Synergy, HPE Nimble, NetApp ONTAP)
• Automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, HELM, Bash)
• Continuous delivery (VCFA Blueprints, GitLab, ArgoCD), Kubernetes/containerization, hybrid/multi-cloud design
• Networking, storage, identity, DevSecOps; excellent communication skills

Nice to have

• Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related
• Cloud certifications (VMware VCF Architect, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect Professional)
• DoD/Federal cloud support, model-based system engineering, agile, RHEL 9.x admin, scripting (YAML, Python, Bash)
