Senior DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes)

Salary: $145,000 - $175,000

What you will do

• Lead the architecture, design, and launch of complex, global-scale systems for commercial clients.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle, from user story generation through operational support.
• Implement and optimize Kubernetes clusters via EKS and Helm charts.
• Drive infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
• Perform deep Linux diagnostics to resolve production incidents at the node and kernel level.
• Collaborate on code reviews and define technical standards to elevate team quality.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Software, Data, or DevOps Engineering and 3+ years with AWS.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Residency within 100 miles of Alexandria, VA or Philadelphia, PA is required.
• Expertise in building enterprise-scale applications with Kubernetes and Helm.
• AWS Associate-level certification (or ability to obtain it within 12 months of start).
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• Experience building and operating Kubernetes in on-premise environments.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Spring Boot, Spark, Hive, or Kafka.
• Financial services industry experience or familiarity with regulated data environments.
• Experience with authentication and authorization systems.
