Associate Environmental Scientist

TL;DR

Associate Environmental Scientist: Complete field work including Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, site investigations, and remediation activities with an accent on oversight of subcontractors and sampling various media. Focus on preparing remedial action workplans, summary reports, and interpreting laboratory data.

Location: Hybrid from Florham Park, NJ office Must possess valid driver’s license, be willing to travel and conduct field work

What you will do

• Participate in site investigation and remediation from proposal to final documents
• Oversight of subcontractors during soil boring, monitoring well installation, excavation, and remedial construction
• Conduct sampling of soil, groundwater, sediment, soil vapor, and air
• Perform Phase I Environmental Site Assessments per ASTM E1527
• Prepare summary reports, review lab data, create tables, boring logs, figures, and text

Requirements

• BS in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related
• Valid driver’s license with clean record, willing to travel and conduct field work
• Strong quantitative, analytical, written and verbal communication skills
• Core competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
• Able to wear respirator, pass pre-employment drug test and DOT random testing
• Experience working in teams and independently

Nice to have

• Experience with Phase I/II ESAs and sampling (soil, sediment, soil vapor, air, groundwater)
• Working knowledge of NJDEP
• Knowledge of scientific study, field investigation, sampling, research, and documentation
• OSHA 40-Hour Training and 8-hour refreshers
