General Ledger Accountant

TL;DR

General Ledger Accountant (Finance): Support accounting activities for Bulgaria and the UK with an accent on month-end closing in accordance with US GAAP and Bulgarian GAAP. Focus on preparation of financial statements, account reconciliation, analysis of balance sheet and P&L accounts, and consolidation processes.

Location: Bulgaria (remote or hybrid)

Salary: 2000–2400 EUR gross monthly

What you will do

• Perform daily accounting activities and month-end closing per US GAAP and Bulgarian GAAP
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements
• Conduct account reconciliation and analysis of balance sheet and P&L accounts
• Support consolidation processes according to US GAAP
• Coordinate with internal teams, HQ, auditors, and tax advisors
• Participate in development and improvement of accounting processes and documentation

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in General Ledger
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and Bulgarian GAAP
• Basic tax knowledge (Bulgaria)
• Experience with month-end closing processes
• Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
• Experience with ERP systems and strong Excel skills
• English – professional working proficiency
