What you will do

• Plan and implement timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials.
• Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and material control systems to reduce costs and streamline operations.
• Ensure material availability in the supply chain and maintain inventory at minimum acceptable levels.
• Source and supply raw materials, utilities and outside services while coordinating global procurement.
• Coordinate with finance on inventory-carrying costs and review requirements for acceptable inventory levels.
• Select, develop and evaluate personnel for efficient department operation.

Requirements

• First level managerial experience managing professional track employees and possibly support reports.
• Ability to work on diverse issues requiring evaluation of multiple factors to meet schedules and goals.
• Experience in production control systems, vendor compliance and customer inventory audits.
