Senior Associate - Valuation (Corporate Finance)

Location: New York, NY; must have the legal right to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Salary: $80,000–$135,000 per year.

What you will do

• Analyze historical and projected financial information and develop detailed financial models to value companies and investments.
• Direct junior staff in developing valuation models and take ownership of their analyses and work products.
• Organize and aggregate large datasets in Microsoft Excel and use Capital IQ and Bloomberg.
• Prepare and present valuation analyses and client-ready deliverables within project scope, deadlines, and quality expectations.
• Communicate project status and results internally and externally, including report writing and client presentations.
• Participate in business development, client meetings, practice development, and leadership development activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Two to four years of prior valuation work experience, preferably with a national accounting firm or valuation firm.
• Experience as a key team member leading the development and completion of client-ready valuation or similar client-service deliverables.
• Strong financial modeling skills and valuation-related technical competencies.
• Ability to collaborate with industry specialists and work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong report writing, communication, project management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Ability to recruit, train, mentor, and direct junior staff.
• Legal right to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, with verification required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Option Pricing Models, including Black-Scholes, and/or Monte Carlo simulation.
• Significant progress toward an ASA designation or similar designation.
