TL;DR

Managing Consultant (Revenue Cycle – Healthcare): Driving revenue cycle effectiveness and financial improvement for healthcare providers with an accent on denials avoidance, process redesign, and revenue integrity. Focus on analyzing data, auditing practices, implementing solutions across patient access, coding, and financial services to deliver measurable results.

Location: Remote (USA only). Must have legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Willing to travel consistently 50-75% depending on project requirements.

Salary: $120,000 – $165,000 per year (Managing Consultant).

What you will do

  • Perform data collection, industry research, and analysis to solve client revenue cycle problems.
  • Provide expertise in insurance denial protocols and recommend solutions to clients.
  • Apply tools and methodologies for process redesign and improvement initiatives.
  • Audit practices through data analysis, interviewing, and shadowing to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Manage client relationships at the representative level and adapt communication styles.
  • Participate in team efforts to meet deadlines and quality expectations.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years in Revenue Cycle; preferably Manager level in consulting or Director in healthcare.
  • Experience leading Denials Avoidance/Prevention and Avoidable Write-Offs with measurable results.
  • Experience with process redesign and improvement across full Revenue Cycle (Patient Access, HIM/Coding, Patient Financial Services).
  • Cerner Patient Accounting experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent in economics, finance, accounting, statistics, public health, engineering, or related.
  • Proven MS Excel skills; knowledge of SAS, SPSS, Stata, MS Access, or MS SQL Server preferred.
