Location: Los Angeles, CA. Must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by ITAR regulations.
Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 + equity

is a Series C startup building the largest and highest-power satellites for missions from LEO to deep space.
What you will do
- Partner with leadership to anticipate workforce risks and support organizational scaling.
- Coach and support managers in handling people matters confidentially and compliantly.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations matters and internal investigations.
- Develop and deploy HR policies and programs to meet legal and contractual requirements.
- Drive initiatives for employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple states.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner, ideally with technical/engineering teams.
- Proven success in high-growth, early-stage startup environments.
- Direct experience with California labor and employment law (exempt and non-exempt).
- Must be a U.S. Person (Citizen, Green Card holder, etc.) per ITAR regulations.
- Experience with HRIS and performance management tools (e.g., Rippling, Lattice, ADP).
- Professional HR certifications (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR, or SPHR).
Nice to have
- Experience in California-based aerospace or hardware manufacturing startups.
- Proficiency in people data analytics to drive recommendations.
- Experience with AI tools and applications.
