What you will do

• Define and lead ML and algorithmic strategy across infrastructure, application, and data modernization lines.
• Architect large-scale ML systems for high-volume operational data like z/OS telemetry, SMF/RMF records, and logs.
• Design advanced algorithms for anomaly detection, pattern analysis, forecasting, optimization, and classification.
• Guide in-database ML capabilities including regression, clustering, and time-series techniques at scale.
• Establish ML best practices for feature engineering, training, evaluation, explainability, and deployment.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with domain experts and customers on operational analytics solutions.

Requirements

• 12+ years in software engineering, ML systems, or algorithm development
• Proven experience delivering production ML systems at scale
• Strong background in large datasets, distributed processing, and end-to-end ML design
• Solid Python and Java coding skills with optimization, statistics, and applied math foundations
• Experience with system performance, observability, or operational telemetry ML solutions
• Ability to lead across teams through technical influence and mentoring

Nice to have

• Experience with mainframe systems (z/OS, SMF, RMF, Db2, RACF)
• In-database ML and analytics databases
• Regression, classification, clustering, time-series in production
• Explainable and compliance-aware ML solutions
• Distributed frameworks like Spark, Flink, Ray
