Salary: $200,000 - $245,000

What you will do

  • Lead the cloud ML team responsible for the algorithms powering sleep, recovery, and training insights.
  • Manage and coach applied ML scientists and engineers to grow them into strong technical leaders.
  • Establish technical quality bars, processes, and standards for rigorous algorithm development from research to deployment.
  • Drive the technical vision for next-generation sensors and their corresponding algorithmic experiences.
  • Partner with ML Platform and MLOps to improve experiment tracking, model monitoring, and deployment automation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional alignment with Sensor Intelligence, Product, and Software Engineering teams.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in machine learning or applied data science with a track record of shipping ML models for consumer products.
  • 4+ years of people leadership experience directly managing ML scientists and engineers.
  • Experience scaling a production ML organization, including improving development velocity and reliability.
  • Strong ability to translate complex ML concepts for diverse audiences, including executive stakeholders.
  • Deep product sense to ensure algorithms drive meaningful user outcomes.
  • Must be prepared to relocate to the Boston, MA office.

Nice to have

  • Experience building algorithms using physiological or wearable sensor data (e.g., PPG, accelerometer, temperature).
  • Familiarity with time-series modeling and the challenges of continuous physiological monitoring.
  • Experience managing development cycles coupled with hardware generations and sensor availability.
