What you will do
- Engage stakeholders to gather requirements, design Epic builds, and conduct gap analyses for workflows and upgrades.
- Configure Epic records, master files, and tools; execute testing plans and manage deployments with change control.
- Provide go-live support, incident management, and advanced troubleshooting for Epic and integrated systems like Workday and Kronos.
- Lead smaller projects using waterfall or agile methodologies, including release coordination and downtime procedures.
- Collaborate on integrations (HL7, FHIR), reporting (Clarity/Caboodle), and ensure data integrity across modules.
- Mentor juniors, create documentation, and support compliance, audits, and ITIL processes.
Requirements
- Must be eligible for remote work from Ohio.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, healthcare administration, or related (or 10+ years experience).
- 5-7 years in system analysis/support in healthcare.
- Experience with Epic applications and healthcare workflows (clinical, revenue cycle, or IT).
- Strong requirements gathering, workflow design, testing, ITIL, SDLC, and communication skills.
- Proven project management and cross-functional team leadership.
Nice to have
- Current Epic certification in modules like HB, PB, Cadence, or ClinDoc.
- 3+ years Epic build/configuration experience.
- HL7/FHIR interface testing, SQL/Clarity/Caboodle, or reporting tools.
- Experience in patient access, billing, clinical operations, or leadership roles.
- ITIL Foundation, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), or healthcare regulations knowledge.
