Staff DevOps Engineer

TL;DR

Staff DevOps Engineer (IaaC/Cloud): Guides the development and operation of the full lifecycle of solution infrastructure with an accent on cloud-based services, security best-practices, and compliance standards. Focus on planning and executing migrations to cloud-native data services, ensuring systems align with CMS/NIST quality, and leading technical decision-making with stakeholders.

Remote position for top talent nationwide. Periodically travel to work with clients, partners, and stakeholders.

Starting pay: $120,000-$135,000

What you will do

• Lead and monitor scope, schedule, and delivery requirements with minimal oversight
• Guide full lifecycle of solution infrastructure using IaaC tooling
• Ensure robust defense-in-depth security and compliance with CMS/NIST standards for ATO
• Plan and execute migrations to cloud-native data services
• Participate in planning sessions, advocate for technical solutions, and communicate tradeoffs
• Mentor teams and participate in technical interviews

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience (relevant experience may substitute for education)
• Expert-level knowledge in multiple IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
• Mastery of DevOps concepts: installing software, virtualization, containerization, networking
