Power Electronics Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Serve as Responsible Engineer for flight hardware from conception through flight.
• Design power switching and conversion components for harsh space environments.
• Work with partners to define interfaces between power systems and spacecraft loads.
• Develop models to analyze and verify power system performance.
• Prototype high-power devices, execute environmental testing, and qualify hardware for flight.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 3+ years of professional design experience with power electronics (research and academic projects qualify).
• Proficient with circuit simulation tools such as LTspice.
• Must be a “U.S. person” as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or protected individuals).
• Experience with environmental testing for space electronics (thermal, vibration, TVAC, shock, radiation, EMI/EMC).
• Experience with kW-scale isolated power converters, load switches, power path protection, and radiation-environment component selection.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of filter design for stability, noise rejection, and threat signals.
• Experience programming in C/C++, Python, or Matlab.
