Electrical Engineer (Semiconductor Automation)

Location: On-site in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, United States

Base salary: $105,593.46–$142,861.74 USD per year, plus an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Design, develop, integrate, qualify, and support electrical systems for semiconductor robots, vacuum platforms, controllers, and automation equipment.
• Diagnose electrical issues across circuit boards, cables, subsystems, and complete systems, including power, communication, sensor, motion-control, grounding, and signal-integrity problems.
• Lead failure analysis, root-cause investigations, corrective actions, preventive actions, and long-term reliability improvements.
• Develop schematics, PCB documentation, cable assemblies, wiring diagrams, bills of material, and system interconnect documentation.
• Support board bring-up, subsystem integration, system builds, verification testing, manufacturing support, and customer escalations.
• Collaborate with firmware, software, mechanical, systems, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and field-service teams on complete product solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 5+ years of experience, or an MSEE with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience developing embedded electrical hardware for automation equipment, robotics, semiconductor capital equipment, or complex electromechanical systems.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB-design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or Cadence.
• Proficiency with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, digital multimeters, power supplies, and electronic loads.
• Knowledge of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits, microcontrollers, processors, power management, sensors, and industrial communication protocols including EtherCAT, CAN, Modbus, TCP/IP, UDP, RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485.
• Ability to work on-site in Chelmsford, Massachusetts.
